How to Care For Remy Hair
We guarantee that our units 100% highest quality. If someone is standing in front of you having a conversation,

How do you care for Remy Hair?
You must not sleep on it. It is best to braid the hair and tie it up with a satin scarf or bonnet. Also washing and
conditioning the hair keeps it moisturized and damage free.
Upon arrival hair may be slightly damp with a mixture of conditioner and purified water. The reason for this is
because this is real human hair and it has to stay moisturized during transit.
Please use the products designed specifically for Remy Indian Hair, I and new items daily. It will prolong the
life of your beautiful hair while providing it with the nutrients it needs to survive for up to a year.
At minimum, shampoo and condition your hair at least once every 2 weeks to maintain your beautiful hair.
 
Shampoo/Condition:
Always remove the wig with lace front citrus remover. Once removed, place the wig in a sink with
shampoo/conditioner and lukewarm water, when finished simply swirl around with your hand.
Repeat the process. Now fill the sink with lukewarm water and let the wig sit for 10 minutes.
When finished take the wig and pat dry with a towel. Place the wig on a mannequin & put a detangling
solution on the wig. The hair should be soft & able to gently comb through the wig.
Once the hair is manageable, let the hair sit & air dry. If you are in a rush, you can blow dry
the wig on low heat.
Allow 24 hour before reapplying the wig (when possible)
 
Detangling:
Make sure you comb the hair after each wash and everyday. When detangling the hair,
please start from the ends and work up little by little to the scalp. Hold the base with the
other hand to keep it from shedding or causing root tension. Avoid using shine products
on the root area as it may prematurely detach your Hair Grafting.
 
Brushing:
Only brush your extended hair when it is completely wet completely dry. Brushing should
be done carefully to avoid root tension. Do not attempt to brush through the attachment unless using a
very soft 100% boar Brush. Extreme tugging may result in the loss of your own hair.
 
Blow Drying:
Take care not to lift the lace front wig when round brushing and drying your hair.
Brush gently toward face. Do not brush or tug abruptly when drying hair.
Press firmly around perimeter after blow drying.
 
Sleeping:
Make a couple of big braids in your hair when going to sleep, swimming or exercising.
You MUST untangle your hair prior to braiding. NEVER sleep on wet hair, your hair
must be completely dry before going to sleep as sleeping on wet lace front wig WILL
cause hair to be very matted.
 
Dry Ends:
To keep hair from dryness, please apply olive oil two to three times weekly prior to shampooing.
Olive oil left on the hair overnight on the ends only is very effective. Remember lace front wig hair
does not have the benefit of your own natural scalp oils, so oilve oil will help to replace those necessary
oils in the hair shaft.
Chlorine and Salt Water:
Chlorine and salt water have been known to damage hair used in lace front wigs. I understand that chlorinated
pools, Jacuzzis, saunas and ocean water can cause irreparable damage to the hair that I am purchasing
and/or wearing and that my seller can not be held responsible if I decide to ignore such warnings. I have been
advised not to expose my lace front wig to chlorinated and/0r salt waters and do at my own risk.
 
Shedding:
Some hair cones out of one front lace wig easier than others. Curly and longer hair will commonly shed hair
more rapidly than a short lace front wig. Shedding of hair is considered very normal.
 
Slippage:
During the life of your lace front wig hairstyle, your lace front wig may slip. To help avoid this constantly apply
firm pressure on the adhesive area, especially after showering. This will help the attachment stay
firmly attached to the scalp area. In the event of your lace front wig slipping or lifting, you can successfully re-attach
using a small amount of "Adhesive", wait 4 minutes for it to cure, and then press firmly.
 
Matting:
Each morning, lean your head forward and use a soft brush and gently brush your hair starting at the ends of the hair
and working your way up to the root area.
 
All of the Following Can Cause Premature and Excessive Hair Loss:
 
Excessive Combing or Brushing:
This will ultimately break off hair and cause premature thinning of the Hair Replacement.
 
Unattended Matting and Tangling:
Left uncorrected, excessive matting and tangling that is then removed forcefully will tighten the matted hair and tear out the hair.
 
Friction:
From pillows or overly aggressive shampooing will break off the hair and thin and tear out the hair.
 
Conditioners Remaining In the Root Area:
Probably the single largest factor creating major, ongoing, irreversible hair loss. Conditioners that are allowed to be
absorbed onto the base and gather around the root system will ultimately prevent the root system from pivoting 360
degrees allowing for hair loss in your hair replacement. Conditioners must be rinsed out completely to avoid the
breakage of the root system.
 
 
Clients with Extra Curly or Wavy Hair
For wavy or curly hair, we recommend you wet the hair every morning with a wet & wavy wig solution.
The hair is very beautiful, but requires daily maintenance. The hair should always have a
level of solution in it, so that it can keep its curly texture and moist feel. The solution can be found at almost
any beauty supply. You can purchase some of the "Fructis" curl shaping products to keep curls in place.
 
At night you should make sure to always wrap the hair in a satin scarf or cap.
I have found that the hair lasts longer when you plait (braid) it at night.
 
For the curly hair, if the hair ever becomes tangled you should never try to untangle the hair while dry.
You should only untangle the hair after it has been sprayed with Wet & Wavy Solution.
 
Shampoo/ Conditioning:
Always remove the wig with lace front citrus remover. Once removed, place the wig in a sink with lukewarm
water & human hair wig shampoo. Allow the wig to sit for 10 minutes & whenfinished simply swirl around your hand.
Repeat the process. Now fill the sink with lukewarm water and let the wig sit for 10 minutes. When finished take the
wig & pat dry with a towel. Place the wig on a mannequin head & apply wet & wavy solution to the wig.
The hair should be soft & able to gently comb through the wig. Once the hair is manageable, let the hair sit & air dry.
If you are in a rush, you can blow dry the wig on low, but no more than 5 minutes.
The wig should still be moist & wet, never completely dry. Allow 24 hours before reapplying the wig.

Hair Care Instructions
 
1. Make sure you brush the hair daily and apply leave-in conditioner so that the hair is soft and moist.
A good leave in hair treatment can keep the hair from drying.
But remember not to use too much otherwise it will crate build up and make the hair feel dirty and too heavy.
If the hair feels too dry or heavy with too much hair care
products, you should wash the hair completely by following steps 2 and 3.
 
2. Before washing the hair, spray mixture of conditioner and water and brush the hair from
bottom to the top. You must gradually wet the hair down and brush it gently before you completely wash
the hair. If the hair is very dry and a lot of water is added at once, there is a possibility that hair will swell up
like a sponge and tangle! Therefore, it is important to gradually wet the hair and brush it.
 
3. After wetting the hair, add shampoo and conditioner and brush thoroughly.
Be sure to wash and brush the hair in one direction. Rinse the hair completely with water and towel dry.
It is best to air dry the hair but you can also ok to blow-dry.
 
4. We suggest that you wash the hair at least once a week with lukewarm water.
Please wash the hair immediately after swimming, going to a spa, exercising, etc.
Dirt and sweat accumulate and create tangles. Excessive use of leave-in conditioners and other hair
products will create a build up on the hair and will cause it to tangle faster.
If the hair feels dry or heavy with build up, wash it with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
(We recommend Joico–K PAK , Fredric Fekkai, or Goldwell Kerasilk Shampoo and Conditioner.)
 
5. It is recommended to apply leave in conditioner after washing to keep the hair from drying and tangling.
You can make a leave-in conditioner at home by diluting conditioner (10%) with water (90%).
Apply the mixture lightly onto your hair and brush the hair from the end to the top near the scalp.
Although it is important to apply leave-in conditioners, it is important to shampoo the hair about every
two weeks to prevent build up.
 
6. Make a couple of big braids when going to sleep, swim, or exercise
(please untangle the hair before making the braids). NEVER SLEEP ON WET HAIR.
Make sure the hair is completely dry before going to bed.
 
7. When swimming, always wear a cap to prevent prolong exposure to chlorine or salt water
which causes the hair to tangle. Always wash the hair right away
with shampoo and conditioner after swimming in both types of water.
When going to the spa, the hair should be brushed out completely and
should be wrapped in a cold wet towel.
 
8. It is advisable NOT TO TINT, COLOR, PERM OR APPLY ANY EXTRA CHEMICAL
TREATMENTS because the hair has already been chemically treated. Please be extra careful with blonde
and other light colored hair. They are more chemically processed than dark hair.
Therefore, we will not be responsible for the outcome.
 
9. Special Instructions for Strand by Strand Extensions:
-Do not shampoo for the first two days after application.
-Always brush with a loop brush. Brush row by row, ends to roots.
-Keratin Tipped bonds should be towel dried to avoid breakage
- Keratin Tipped bonds (approximately 1” from the bond & scalp) should not come into contact
with any heat (blow dryers, hot rollers, curling & straightening irons), heat will weaken the bond.
-Keratin Tipped bonds may be weakened when exposed to constant damp environments such
as steam rooms and saunas.
